Ten years ago, on a cold February morning, Luke and I loaded our car with baskets of freshly made natural bars of soap and drove to Greenwich market in London to set up our very first stall. The excitement, the anticipation, the crisp winter’s air … I still remember like it was yesterday.

Luke helped me unload the car and set up the stand, and after that, I was left all by myself. ‘You will be fine’ Luke said as he smiled at me encouragingly and walked away.
I was all set up and ready for my first customers! The first few hours were very quiet… it seemed that early on a wintery Wednesday morning was not the prime time for people to visit the market. I was slowly losing my excitement and began to worry that this was a mistake.

But then, a few hours later (which felt like a lifetime), I had my very first customer! What a relief! I rang Luke straight away to share the good news: ‘Someone just bought a bath bomb!’ I said delightedly

We climb the mountain, not in giant leaps but one small step at a time.
